Boodi Blu Jewellery London

This is an artist I found on pinterest who did similar to me where she took broken crockery and ceramic fragments and turned them into jewellery. Sarah Marfie’s old collection was called Boodi Blu Jewellery, and she unearthed pottery which she transformed back into wearable jewellery. Marfie spoke of the process used, “with the unearthed pottery shards I sand them using a glass grinder, then I drill them with a dremel and external tools and  diamond tools underwater. I assemble them with wire, chains and charms. Boodi means broken china inn northern Scotland”. Like Marfie she also likes finding the beauty in broken objects. I am inspired also in her layout of her pieces and how she combines different fragments to create a more interesting shape and pattern.
