Constellations Lecture- Catherine Finch- Seeking Controversy in the library.

In Catherine Finch’s Lecture she spoke about how controversy can evoke a reaction or an emotion. She showed us an image of Time magazine with a lady on the front breastfeeding her child. This image was thought to be controversial because of the seductive pose of the lady and how old the child looked. This all led up to us asking more questions about the purpose of the image, who made it?, when it was made?. This should help me with deciphering the image and how it could be seen. I thought Catherine Finch was very helpful in how she gave us a guide to help aid us in choosing the best format for the job being that a book, newspaper, journal, webpage or a popular trade journal. I will be able to use this guide to help chose my references wisely. Overall I found this lecture to be very helpful to my studies.
